SHAH ALAM - Petaling Jaya, Kuala Lumpur, and Hulu Langat districts are expected to face water supply disruptions next month due to upgrades and maintenance works at the Sungai Langat water treatment plant.

In a statement, Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) said the works will cause scheduled water supply disruptions in some places between 9am on Oct 10.

The works are expected to be completed by 7pm on the same day and fully recovered by 12pm on Oct 12, 2023.

Air Selangor further said the water supply will be distributed to consumers in stages after the upgrading and maintenance works are completed and the main water supply distribution system has been stabilised.

"Air Selangor will be mobilising water tankers to the affected areas by giving priority to critical premises such as hospitals, dialysis centres, and funerals.

"For commercial customers, the purchase of water supplies can be made at any of Air Selangor’s customer service counters across all regions.

"Commercial customers can use their respective water tankers at two local water filling stations that will be opened in Sunway Batu Caves and Selayang Mutiara," the statement said.

Consumers may refer to the Air Selangor application as well as the company's official Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter) accounts for the latest information, or contact the Air Selangor contact centre at 15300.
