Cabinet reshuffle: 'I thought about it, but it’s not urgent’ - PM

KUALA LUMPUR - Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim does not rule out the possibility of discussing the cabinet reshuffle during his audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah at Istana Negara, today.

However, the Prime Minister said that the cabinet reshuffle was not too urgent because there was only one ministerial vacancy that needed to be filled, which was the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) Ministry, previously held by the late Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub.

"(An audience with) the Yang di-Pertuan Agong is my weekly (routine).

"(Cabinet reshuffle?) Maybe... maybe I have thought about it.

"It is not urgent because only one (position) is vacant, I have asked the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Sabah, Sarawak and Special Duties Affairs) Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali and KPDN Deputy Minister Fuziah Salleh to focus on this," he said.

He said this to reporters when met after he officiated the launch of the Tabung Haji Board (TH) 60th Anniversary at Menara TH, here, today.
