MACC awaiting DPP’s decision over HR Ministry officers - Azam

KAJANG - The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) had submitted an investigation paper to the Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) in regard to a case of foreign workers recruitment involving senior officials of Human Resources Minister V Sivakumar.
However, MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said that they were still waiting for a further decision from the DPP.
"The case has been submitted to the DPP and we are still waiting for their decision.
"We completed the investigation two months ago and are still waiting for the DPP," he said.
In May, the media reported Sivakumar confirmed that five of his officials who were investigated by the MACC had their contracts terminated.
Sivakumar reportedly said that the termination was done to ensure that the ministry was able to operate smoothly.
In, the MACC arrested two senior officers of Sivakumar linked to corruption in a foreign recruitment agency.
