BENTONG - Despite being in a wheelchair, 47-year-old Mat Radi Mat Saat was enthusiastic about fulfilling his civic duty to cast his vote at SMK Chemomoi today.

A resident of Felda Chemomoi, Mat Radi arrived at the polling station at 9am and finished voting at 9.10am.

"Alhamdulillah, I have completed my duty as a Malaysian citizen," he said.

As a wheelchair user, he said that the voting process today went smoothly, with no need to wait in line.

"Thank you to the Election Commission for making all the processes go smoothly," he expressed his gratitude.

Regardless of who wins, he added that he hopes the candidate entrusted by the people will provide better service to the residents of Pelangai.

SMK Chemomoi is one of the nine polling centers for the constituency, which opened at 8am today.

The Pelangai constituency has a total of 16,456 registered voters.

The Pelangai by-election is a three-cornered fight between Datuk Amizar Abu Adam from Barisan Nasional (BN), Kasim Samat from Perikatan Nasional (PN), and independent candidate Haslihelmy DM Zulhasni.
