KINABATANGAN - Warisan Youth Chief Mohd Ismail Ayob has resigned from his position and left the party with immediate effect. He also stepped down as the Warisan Kinabatangan Division chief.

In an official letter to the Warisan Secretary-General, Mohd Ismail explained that his decision was aimed at taking a break from politics and focusing on his family and business for the time being.

"As the Warisan Youth Chief, as well as the Warisan Kinabatangan Division Chief, I hereby resign from all positions and leave the party, effective from the receipt of this letter, as I wish to take a temporary break from politics and fully focus on my family and business at this time," he said.

Mohd Ismail also expressed his gratitude to the Warisan President Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal, Information Chief Datuk Azis Jamman, and Secretary-General for the opportunities and guidance provided to him during his time in Warisan.

"I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Datuk Mohd Aziz Jamman for providing me with a lot of guidance in politics and promoting my name throughout my time in Warisan," he added.

Mohd Ismail joined Warisan in 2016 as the Warisan Youth deputy chief before being appointed as the Warisan Youth Chief and the Kinabatangan Division Chief in 2022. - AWANI
