There is a limit to everything. There is also a limit to the oppression carried out on the Palestinians by the Zionist apartheid regime over more than seven decades with the blessing and patronage of the USA. This is the root cause of the scenes we are seeing today in Gaza and the occupied land.

After several elections which failed to form a government in Israel, unfortunately the most racist, fundamentalist, far-right government in Israeli history was formed at the end of 2022.

This far-right government has ruthlessly escalated its military occupation over the Palestinians in the name of Jewish supremacy with violent expulsions and home demolitions, mass killings, military raids on refugee camps (eg in Jenin), unrelenting blockade, uprooting of olive trees and daily humiliations.

As for Gaza, for the past 16 years, the Israeli government has suffocated the 2 million Palestinians under a draconian law, denying medical aid, starving and imprisoning them.

Masjid Al Aqsa, our third holy masjid has been desecrated daily. There is daily incursions by the orthodox Jews performing Talmudic rituals, tearing of the Quran, repeated attacks on Muslim worshippers, preventing them from going to the al Aqsa and even insulting the holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Israel has been deaf to all United Nations Resolutions related to Palestinian issues. In its arrogance, they continue violating all international norms and human right laws.

Unfortunately international leaders and the world remain oblivious despite all the crimes against humanity committed on the Palestinians.

Inevitably the oppressed people will rise and seek to defend themselves. We all deserve safety, equality and freedom. The UN 2030 Agenda envisages “a world of universal respect for human rights and human dignity, the rule of law, justice, equality and non-discrimination”.

With the above vision, we the Malaysian Women's Coalition for al Quds and Palestine support and are in solidarity with our Palestinian brothers and sisters in their fight against the oppressors.

We salute the mothers of the martyrs for their contributions and sacrifice.
