Melaka FAMA records nearly RM13 million in sales

JASIN - The Melaka Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) recorded sales totalling RM12.981 million through its 27 Agrobazaar Rakyat (ABR) and Agrobazaar Kedai Rakyat (AKR) outlets statewide as of Sept 30.

State FAMA director Hairudin Yunos said the sales had surpassed the target of RM10 million set for this year and is expected to reach RM15 million by the end of the year.

"Six ABR outlets had an average monthly sales of RM394,409, while 21 AKR outlets recorded an average monthly sales of RM1.047 million.

"This is a remarkable achievement despite the current economic uncertainties. We hope that consumers will continue to support FAMA entrepreneurs," he told reporters after officiating the Go Cashless@ABR programme in Pekan Umbai here today.

Meanwhile, Hairudin said that the state FAMA is aiming for all ABR and AKR outlets in the states to implement cashless transactions next year. - BERNAMA
