Budget 2024: Govt allocates RM5 million to improve uniform bodies' K9 units

SHAH ALAM - While paying tribute to fallen canine hero tracker dog Blake during the tabling of Budget 2024, Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announces an allocation of RM5 million to the uniform bodies' K9 unit.
"We must all remember Blake, a member of the Fire and Rescue Department's K9 unit that has served the country and died.
"The government will improve facilities and medical treatments for the Fire and Rescue Department's K9 unit and increase the number of K9 detection dogs for the Fire and Rescue, police, and customs departments with the allocation of RM5 million," he said.
