KUALA LUMPUR - The government will provide an initial incentive payment of RM2,000 to all government employees, including contract appointees, who are grade 57 and below in the Public Service Compensation System Review.

The payment will be made in one lump sum at the end of February 2024, to help ease the financial burden of preparing children for school and celebrating Ramadan and Syawal.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said that main positions in the public sector, including the police, fire and rescue department personnel, army, armed forces, and all uniformed personnel, will receive RM1,000.

The RM1,000 incentive payment will also be extended to all government retirees, including pensioned and non-pensioned veterans.
