PUTRAJAYA - The Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali said the interim payment of RM2,000 while the government reviews the salary and allowance scheme will be paid next February.

This will help ease the financial burden on civil servants, he added.

He said this good news will boost motivation to remain committed to their duties and strengthen public service delivery.

"I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and the members of the Cabinet of the Unity government for their trust and appreciation of civil service," he said in a Facebook post today.

He added that civil servants are determined to collectively realise the implementation of the 2024 budget, which serves as a catalyst for the Madani economy and Malaysia Madani aspirations.
