SHAH ALAM – Pas deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man explained that contrary to a widespread rumour, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has not been sidelined in Perikatan Nasional (PN).

Addressing the matter at Pas Youth’s Muktamar here today, Tuan Ibrahim debunked that a powerplay was brewing within PN following the appointment Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as the unofficial advisor the four PN-controlled states.

“I would like to stress that Muhyiddin has always been with us. He is a part of us. Muhyiddin is the chairman of PN who was always with us.

“If Muhyiddin is with us, internally, then Mahathir is with us, externally and he is ever willing to lend us his wisdom in governing the states which we won [Perlis, Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu].

“In order for Pas to one day become the government, we are willing to learn from anyone who has the expertise,” said Tuan Ibrahim in his officiating speech of the wing’s annual meeting that will begin tomorrow.
