SHAH ALAM - Malaysia has witnessed a historic surge for Pas in the 15th General Election (GE15), marking a significant milestone in the nation’s political history.

The party, which has been a prominent player in Malaysian politics for over seven decades, managed to secure an astounding 43 parliamentary seats in GE15, representing a substantial leap from the 18 seats it held in the previous general election.

Accordin to President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, this remarkable performance is largely attributed to Pas's effective collaboration within the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition.

He said the party's success in attracting and retaining voters has also underlined its growing influence and prominence in Malaysia's political landscape.

"Pas was the biggest gainer in the election, achieving an impressive 140 per cent increase in parliamentary seats.

"Other major political parties, including Umno, PKR, Amanah, and DAP, saw declines in their seat counts compared to GE14," Hadi said in his inaugural speech at the 69th Pas Muktamar today.

Hadi's speech also emphasised Pas's commitment to serving the Malaysian people and the nation.

He expressed his gratitude to the voters and benefactors who have entrusted the party and the PN coalition with their support.
