AMPANG - Lembah Jaya State Legislative Assemblyman Syed Ahmad Syed Abdul Rahman, also known as Altimet, said he had no problem using the regular parking lots rather than the designated parking spaces, reserved for assemblymen at the Hulu Langat land & district office.

Altimet was responding to X user Reza Razali's remark who highlighted the issue of special parking.

Reza believed that the ten special plots designated for State Assembly Members, and Members of Parliament in the Hulu Langat land and district office be given to those in need.

“There are approximately ten designated parking spaces for assemblymen and members of Parliament who are all healthy and rarely come to this land office.

"I see a lot of old people come here and have to park far away. Maybe this special lot can be prioritised for those who are more in need," said Reza on Friday.

Altimet said that he agreed with the proposal and confirmed that he had never used the special lot since he became the Lembah Jaya assemblyman.

He said he will bring the matter to the Hulu Langat district officials during a courtesy visit that will be held in the near future.

"Regardless of what happens, I will vacate my parking place at the district office throughout the time I am still an assemblyman for Lembah Jaya.

"For context, the public parking lot is about 50 meters from the location of these photos. I can park there and walk," he said.
