KUALA LUMPUR - In a spirited gathering, the Malaysian Women's Coalition for Al-Quds and Palestine (MWCQP) and former lawmaker, Nurul Izzah Anwar vocalised their commitment to rectifying the dire situation in Palestine.

The coalition made their stance known by delivering protest notes to the US Embassy yesterday, highlighting the role of the American government in these tragic events.

Addressing the assembled crowd, Nurul Izzah, alongside other distinguished activists, highlighted the urgency for global recognition and action against the injustices inflicted upon the Palestinian community.

"The World Health Organisation and the United Nations have condemned the atrocities. They too have suffered.

"It's essential that nations, particularly the US, confront their role in this crisis.

"The American government's stance is evident, especially when its own lawmakers face criticism from the White House," she said.

She also called out the international community, urging them to listen to the global call to end the violence.

"Nations, like the UK (United Kingdom), influenced by President Joe Biden (US President), should heed the appeals from Malaysians and the global populace to stop this genocide.
