KUALA LUMPUR - Israel aims to kill 15,000 Palestinians to cover the 'embarrassment' after the Zionist military operation was paralysed for three hours due to a recent attack by Hamas.

The Asia Middle East Centre for Research and Dialogue (AMEC) director Dr Muslim Imran said that in the aftermath, only 1,200 Hamas soldiers were affected, but at least 5,000 members of the Zionist regime were killed, detained, and injured.

Following the attack, Israel was desperate to mend its reputation by bombing Gaza nonstop.

"In the previous wars, the death toll gap between Israel and Palestine was quite significant. In 2014, the Zionist regime attacked for 51 days. They only had a single casualty. We instead recorded 27 deaths.

"In their mindset, they believe that in order to control Gaza, they have to kill as many as possible. So, they won't be satisfied with only 2,000 or 3,000 Palestinians dead," he added.

He said this at a press conference after delivering a speech titled "Living as a Palestinian under the Israeli Zionist Regime at the Media Practitioner Discourse: Palestine Solidarity" at TV Alhijrah Studio today.

Muslim said Israel's unease increased even more as the death toll on their end had now reached 5,000 compared to Palestine's 1,500.

"So this clearly shows why the Zionist regime attacked hospitals and schools. Even numerically (casualty or injury), they don't want to lose. I'm afraid that Palestinians who will be martyred could go up to 15,000 people," he said.

Therefore, he hoped that Malaysian media could bring awareness to the world about the suffering experienced by Gazans.

"On the first day of war, the Western media tried to portray the Palestinians as monsters.

"They also focused on false reports. For example, Hamas killed 40 babies. That's not true. Where's the evidence? So I hope that Malaysian media as well as Asia's will help portray the real picture," he wished.
