KUALA LUMPUR - Digital used car trading platform, myTukar, is targeting a monthly sales target of 6,000 vehicles for both its wholesale and retail business in the financial year 2024.

In September 2023, myTukar achieved transaction volumes of 4,300 vehicles for both its wholesale and retail business.

Its chief executive officer, Derrick Eng said the company is expected to achieve the target following the rebranding in phases of its after-sales workshop called Carro Care, as part of a strategic partnership with Jardine Cycle and Carriage.

"Our target market consists of car dealers and car buyers and this refurbishment centre will allow the cars to be restored to ‘as good as new’ condition,” he said at the Carro Care USJ Refurbishment & Service Centre in Subang Jaya, Selangor, today.

Eng also said that myTukar is working with six insurers to enable suitable insurance options on one single platform.

Singapore-based online used car platform Carro, the owner of myTukar, has 14 refurbishment centres and workshops in Southeast Asia that will be rebranded to Carro Care in phases starting next year and a total of 2,800 cars are expected to be serviced and repaired each month. - BERNAMA
