SHAH ALAM - The actions of the Israeli regime in delaying humanitarian aid for Gaza, has caused the people there to suffer without food and medicine.

MyCare's Honorary Advisor, Dr. Hafidzi Mohd Noor, said so far only 35 trucks containing humanitarian aid have been allowed in, but it required a very long inspection process by the Israeli authorities before being distributed to the victims.

He said the condition of damaged and destroyed roads also makes it difficult for non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to send aid.

"Israel only allowed 20 trucks on the first day and 15 trucks on the second day.

"They took too long to check and delayed the process of sending food and medicine supplies.

"There were many generous contributions from Malaysians we could not deliver, It is a very sad situation," he said in the Wacana Sinar series 418 titled 'Winning the narrative war outside Gaza' hosted by Azlan Shah Nabees Khan today.

In the meantime, Dr. Hafidzi said the NGO will continue their mission of helping the people in Gaza to ensure that they get the much needed supplies that have been donated.

He added that the NGO will continue to try to channel aid to the people in Gaza.

He explained that Malaysia does not need to be afraid of threats from major powers but should focus on helping those who are being brutally oppressed by the Zionist regime.

"We will continue to channel aid whether there is an attack or not because we have to remember that Gaza has been besieged so that it is difficult to get supplies of clean water and fuel.

"Every winter, the water from the sewerage channel will overflow, and they cannot repair it because there is no replacement tank," he said.
