SHAH ALAM - A 27-year-old man can finally breathe a sigh of relief after successfully clearing a staggering debt of RM1.2 million in just two years.

With this financial burden behind him, Ariff Luqman Peter Lisut is now hopeful of reuniting with his family, from whom he has been estranged due to debt-related issues.

"My relationship with my family had grown cold to the point where some family members were completely out of touch.

"It is best to keep this matter confidential for now, but I did it all for my family—to settle this for Allah and to regain my family,” he said.

He also expresses his desire to have his family reunite as they used to.

"I want my family to come together again as they used to. That's why I shared my life on TikTok, because I couldn't reach out to them directly.

“I hope that they see the videos I've made and know that everything has been resolved now," he told mStar.

Besides, Ariff also wants to marry his girlfriend, with the debt crisis now firmly in the past.

"Now that everything is settled, I am truly eager to seek the blessing of her father for the next step.

“Please pray for me, fellow Malaysians, just as you prayed for me to overcome my debt,” he said.

Sinar Daily previously reported that Arif was burdened with a over RM1 million debt after being influenced by digital currency investments in 2019.

The Sarawakian said he had learned about the investment scheme from his father when a company was looking for people to be product ambassadors.
