Elderly man arrested for driving against traffic

SEREMBAN – Police arrested an old man after he was found to be driving against traffic at Jalan Rasah here.
Seremban District Police chief Arifai Tarawe said, preliminary investigations found that a 73-year-old man was driving the blue Proton Exora multipurpose vehicle (MPV) against the flow of traffic at approximately 10 am.
A 16-second video went viral after the driver's actions were recorded by other motorists at the location before being uploaded on Facebook.
"The vehicle was moving in the far-right lane and was going against the flow of traffic towards Seremban 3 which endangered him and other motorists.
"The Traffic Enforcement Division of the Seremban District Police Headquarters (IPD) successfully located the suspect at Taman Desa Rasah and arrested him for further action," he said in a statement on Friday.
The case is being investigated in accordance with Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act.
