NILAI - "Please have some morals and follow the laws and regulations!".

Menteri Besar Negeri Sembilan Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun warns foreigners who earn a living in the state, especially in the Nilai 3 business area, but are allegedly acting arrogant towards Malaysians.

He even described some of them as being too rude.

"There are those who run illegal businesses, and some of them are not only big-headed but too rude.

"They forget where they came from. We gave them an opportunity, but they misused that opportunity, and I think this should not happen in our country," he said when at Ops Sabung in Bandar Baru Nilai here on Saturday night.

He said the state government has no problem with foreigners working in the state, but it is necessary and important to respect the laws and customs and the culture of the state's community.

Aminuddin also stressed that he did not want the Nilai 3 area to be used as a transit location for foreigners before they were given jobs in other states so that there would be dumping.

"I was informed that they run businesses, open karaoke centres, sell alcohol, and do many other things.

"This situation is happening because more and more of their community is living there. So we have to be careful," he said.

At the same time, he said, all relevant departments and agencies were expected to respond immediately and take action on complaints from the community.

He said that the state government is indeed focusing on the issue of dumping foreigners in the Nilai area, thus creating an uncomfortable atmosphere among the community.

"The government also has no problem with foreigners using their wives' licences to run businesses, but they need to make sure that their wives or local workers are on the premises," he said.
