SHAH ALAM - Former Umno Secretary-General Tan Sri Annuar Musa has recently been appointed as a member of Pas's Central Committee.

Committed to the cause, Annuar is eager to continue the party's efforts under the existing leadership.

Annuar, who also chairs Muafakat Nasional (MN), revealed that he will serve as the Pas Elections Department Deputy Director General.

The appointment came from Pas Secretary-General Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan, who personally informed Annuar.

"I extend my sincere thanks to Pas President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang and the Central Pas Committee for their trust in me.

"InsyaAllah, I'll be meeting both Tan Sri Tuan Guru Abdul Hadi and the Central Elections Department Director General Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, soon to receive further directives," Annuar said.

Sinar had earlier reported that both Annuar and another ex-Umno heavyweight Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim were appointed to the Central Pas Committee during the party's recent working committee meeting.

Explaining the appointments, Takiyuddin mentioned they were finalised in accordance with Clauses 25 and 26 of the party's constitution.
