Well-known singer and celebrity chef Datuk Fazley Yaakob has expressed his opinion, saying he does not see any strong reason to end his partnership with Starbucks which has been the target of boycott calls in Malaysia because of claims that it has connections to the Zionist regime in Israel.

The 45-year-old artist was quoted in a news report today as saying that he sees no reason to stop working with Starbucks in Malaysia until he sees tangible proof that the Zionist regime is directly supported by Malaysian-owned Starbucks or any other international franchise run by Malaysian businesses.

The artist has been actively working with Starbucks in Malaysia to recreate local dishes that are available at the coffee chain's outlets nationwide.

"These companies here are under Malaysian ownership and management.

"They have also been known to contribute significantly to aiding the Palestinian cause.

"I understand their mission, and there is no indication of external support," Fazley said in a media report.

In his role as a chef advertising his goods, Fazley affirmed his dedication to carrying out his duties impartially.

In the wake of the current social media-driven "boycott campaign" against several organisations, he had anticipated potential criticism for his work with Starbucks, but he had not heard any complaints from his fans.
