SHAH ALAM - A Perikatan Nasional (PN) member of parliament has alleged that ministers and deputy ministers in the Dewan Rakyat (Parliament) do not answer questions raised seriously.

Alor Setar Pas Youth Chief Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden said that, based on his observations, there were ministers who did not attend the parliament sitting to answer questions posed but instead delegated this task to their deputy ministers.

He also claimed that the Prime Minister has failed to control his Cabinet members.

"Are the ministers disrespecting the Prime Minister, or does the Prime Minister not even have the time to check on his Cabinet ministers because he is preoccupied with matters outside the country? "In fact, these are the things that need to be clarified: the authority... and so on.

"What happened today—this incident has occurred repeatedly, and it shows that the current government is not serious and not competent in handling the issues raised in the Dewan Rakyat," he alleged.

He also warned that such a situation should be prevented from happening again.
