SHAH ALAM – Palestinian Ambassador to Malaysia Walid Abuali urges the international community to understand that Israel’s genocidal attacks on Palestine are not a fight between Muslim and Jews.

“Our struggle in Palestine is against Israel, not against the Jewish people.

“We, as believers, include Christians and Muslims in Palestine who suffer under Israeli occupation.

“Muslims and Christians stand shoulder to shoulder in our fight against this occupation. Therefore, our struggle is not based on religion,” Walid told media members during a press conference held at the Palestinian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur today.

He said that Israel was established in Palestine as a result of Zionist political investments that encroached Al Aqsa Mosque – the first Muslim qibla – by propagating a fabricated story about a buried temple beneath it.

“Benjamin Netanyahu (Israeli Prime Minister) and his government are attempting to convince the international community that they are entitled to create a Jewish state.

“This is merely a propaganda campaign to persuade the West and the international community of their version of events,” he said.

Walid further added that the Palestinian would continue to fight to ensure that their rights to live in an independent Palestinian state was achieved.
