SHAH ALAM - The crime of genocide in Palestine opened the eyes of the West to getting to know Islam more closely.

Umno Ulama Council Executive Secretary Datuk Dr Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali said that this group has grown to support Palestine on the basis of humanity, and Islamic morals have brought them closer to the religion.

"Muslims who have been citizens of Western countries for decades have brought the message of Islam through their way of life, especially their morals.

"Islam must grow into the hearts of the community through writing and how it projects itself to the people, not through swords, which are the protector of Islam when it is threatened and the protector of the oppressed," he said in a post on his Facebook page on Friday.

Previously, it has gone viral that non-Muslims in Western countries started to read and understand the Quran after seeing the situation in Gaza due to the atrocities of the Zionist regime.

Many of them uploaded videos on social media praising the tenacity of faith, belief, and spirit of the Palestinian people who remained patient and resigned to their plight even though family members were killed.
