Bersatu, PN are 21st century parties - Muhyiddin
SHAH ALAM - Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) are the 21st century parties, says Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
The Bersatu president and PN chairman said entering the 21st century, they have navigated significant geopolitical shifts and conflicts.
"Bersatu and PN are 21st century parties as we are posing challenges to political and economic landscapes.
"Despite these, we remain resilient and unwavering in our pursuit of progress and the people's aspirations," he said at the Bersatu annual general assembly 2023 at the Ideal Convention Centre (IDCC), here, today.
Besides, he also expressed his gratitude to all Bersatu members for their tireless efforts in past elections, resulting in a strong coalition and unwavering commitment.
"I extend my appreciation to our allies, including Pas and Gerakan for the enduring strength we have built over the years.
"Our consistency, coupled with a commitment to change has sharpened our idealism and paved the way for the prosperity of our nation," he said.
Commenting further, he said as Bersatu strengthened their roots with continuous public support, Bersatu became a target for competition.
"In the face of attacks, we should not fear as our faith is unshaken and challenges only serve to test our dignity.
“Let us not underestimate the trials that come our way and recognise that our dignity will be tested.
“In this era, marked by significant global politics and waves of conflict, we face the challenges of political economy that have yet to be fully understood,” he said.
