SHAH ALAM - Pas election deputy director Tan Sri Annuar Musa rebuts PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli's statement that the Islamic party lacks organisational strength and talent advantage.

The former Umno leader said Pas' organisation was way better coordinated compared to other parties in the country, be it the opoosition or the government.

"He (Rafizi) said Pas' organisation is weak because he did not see how we run things in the party.

"He also said Pas can gather many people, up to hundreds of thousands, but in the elections, we did not win," he said.

He said the party was able to gather a large number of people for rallies because of its well-organised structure, emphasising that organisational strength was crucial for success in elections.

He added that Pas was the only party in the country capable of mobilising a mass movement due to its organised structure.

"... InsyaAllah, we (Pas) will become a major governing party in the future," he said.

He said this in his speech at the Kemaman by-election campaign in Bukit Mentok.

On Saturday, Rafizi cited Pas as an example to state that idealisme alone, without organisational strength and effective leadership talent, could not lead a movement or party to success.

Commenting further, Annuar attributed Pas' electoral victories to its well-organised structure and clear goals.

"There is no need to brag about how we run things in Pas, that is out secret.

"No need to disclose to PKR about our structure. Pas won because of it's well-organised structure," he said.

Meanwhile, he said Pas adhered to the correct principle of struggle through proper methods.

"Why was Umno, a previously major party is now becoming smaller and smaller? Because Umno adopts the wrong approach. That is why the people abandoned Umno.

"Why is Pas, a party with moderate influence, is becoming larger and larger? Because the goals and methods are right," he said.

Annuar also criticised Rafizi's claim that Pas lacked talent, pointing out that many Pas MPs have impressive qualifications, including Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and backgrounds as doctors and engineers, challenging the notion that Pas lacked talent.

"Look at Pas MPs. How many of them have PhDs, with backgrounds as doctors and engineers.

"The Terengganu Menteri Besar (Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar) is an aerospace engineer. No one in PKR or Umno is an aerospace engineer.

"Many in Pas have religious qualifications. If someone says Pas lacks talent, then the person saying that is deaf and blind," he said.
