We refer to three news reports published on the Sinar Daily news portal titled "Pressure mounts on PM Anwar to investigate Selangor’s controversial mega projects” (publication date: April 3, 2023), “Anwar must look into two mega projects in Selangor, Green Party urges” (publication date: April 29, 2023) and “Leaked letter puts Shah Alam Sports Complex back into spotlight, MBI Selangor remains tight lipped” (publication date: May 31, 2023).

Sinar Daily wishes to clarify that the contents of all three reports were premised entirely on media statements made by the secretary of the Green Party Malaysia (GPM). We are informed that the contents of the reports are incorrect in so far as they relate to the redevelopment of the Shah Alam Sports Complex.

Sinar Daily has been informed that Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) was shortlisted by Menteri Besar Incorporated (MBI) following a tender process, pursuant to a "Request for Proposal" submitted by them for the redevelopment of the Shah Alam Sports Complex.

To avoid any confusion or misunderstanding that may arise, Sinar Daily is retracting all three news reports.
