KLANG - A foreign man has been placed under a seven-day remand to facilitate investigations into the discovery of a woman's body found cemented in the water tank of a house here on Sunday.

Magistrate Amirul Asyraf Abd Rasid issued the seven-day remand order, effective from Tuesday until yesterday, for the 53-year-old suspect.

The suspect was brought to the Magistrate's Court today at 9.47am by policemen.

The shocking incident unfolded in Kampung Pendamar Phase One, Pandamaran, around 9.30pm on Sunday.

Police initiated an investigation following a homeowner's report about the discovery of the woman's body in the water tank of a rented house's bathroom.

Firefighters uncovered the woman's body after breaking the cement in the tank.

One man is in police custody, and authorities are actively pursuing two other suspects to aid in the ongoing investigation.

Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussien Omar Khan stated that the individuals identified as tenants of the house, namely Ranjit Singh and Mandeep Singh, are believed to be involved in the case.
