BACHOK - Amanah president Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu says the act of changing governments can only be done through elections and not through the Sheraton Move in February 2020.

If this continued to happen, he said it could have a bad effect on the country, including government officials.

"The Sheraton Move is a political disaster for Malaysia. If you want to change the government, campaign from now on to win the election," he said during a press conference, today.

Mohamad said this when asked about the actions of the opposition who continued to play up the issue of changing the government even though the 15th General Election (GE15) was just a year ago.

He was confident that the unity government formed through the cooperation of Pakatan Harapan, Barisan Nasional, Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) and Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) will continue until GE16.

Meanwhile, Amanah communications director Khalid Samad agreed with Mohamad.

He said changing the government using 'treacherous' means will harm the country and make politics unstable.
