PETALING JAYA - Police are anticipating the results of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) testing conducted on residents of Idaman Apartment in Damansara Damai as part of their investigation into the death of six-year-old Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin.

Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said that the results are expected within two to three days.

"A total of 228 DNA samples were collected from residents," he confirmed earlier today.

On Sunday, authorities announced a mass DNA screening involving 228 individuals residing at Idaman Apartment.

The samples were collected during a thorough examination of 18 residential blocks, encompassing 2,484 units and involving 5,628 residents.

Zayn Rayyan's body was discovered in a stream near the apartment complex last week at approximately 10pm.

He was found by a group of residents conducting a search operation, leading to suspicions of foul play.

The police investigation is ongoing and the DNA results are expected to contribute valuable information to the case.
