KUCHING - A 15-year-old boy was discovered dead after he reportedly fell into a drain in Jalan Kampung Pemindahan, Marudi, yesterday morning.
The body of the victim identified as Calroney Charlse was discovered by a passersby, who then alerted the Marudi fire station at about 7.20am.
State Fire and Rescue Department operations chief Henderi Ardimansyah said a team of personnel from the station were deployed to the location and extracted the teenager's body from the drain.
"The victim, who is of Iban descent was confirmed dead by the paramedic team from the Marudi Hospital," he said.
Henderi added that the body was handed over to the police for further action. - AWANI
