KOTA BHARU - Pas Secretary-General Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan challenged any party to provide evidence backing claims that several Perikatan Nasional (PN) MPs would switch allegiances and support Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

"Every allegation demands proof," he said earlier today at the Kelantanku Bersih 2023 Celebration Ceremony, hosted by Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud.

Takiyuddin's remark addressed speculations triggered by Bukit Gantang MP Datuk Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz Syed Abdul Fasal, who hinted at other PN representatives backing Anwar.

On Monday, Sinar reported Syed Abu Hussin's press conference revelation that several PN MPs planned to publicly endorse Anwar's leadership.

He claimed seven to eight MPs would soon issue a statement confirming their position.

However, Takiyuddin dismissed the claim, stating, "Anyone can just say it," and expressing confidence that no PN MPs would switch sides.
