KUALA LUMPUR - The presence of Umno Youth Chief, Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh at the 2023 National Amanah Party (Amanah) Youth Convention is considered to be a sign of strengthening friendship in the Unity Government.
Amanah Youth Chief Senator Mohd Hasbie Muda, expressed his gratitude to Muhamad Akmal for his cooperation in making the convention a success in his speech.
"Alhamdulillah, we are able to sit here together as friends. Thank you Umno Youth friends, who are with us today," he said.
Earlier, Mohd Hasbie welcomed the arrival of Muhamad Akmal at about 9 a.m. His arrival was then followed by Democratic Action Party Socialist Youth (DAPSY) deputy chief, Young Syefura Othman.
The convention themed 'Leading the New Era of Youth' is expected to be inaugurated by Amanah President Datuk Seri Mohammad Sabu at 11 am.
In the meantime, Mohd Hasbie said, Amanah youths need to adapt to the changing times and cannot be stagnant.
"We cannot be comfortable with the current situation by using the old approaches.
"Various new things need to be explored to ensure that we not only remain relevant but become leaders in the field we are in," he said.
