Don't be jealous or hate, but admire the greatness of JDT - TMJ
Owner of the Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) football team,Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim insists that no club in the country is capable of replicating what the Southern Tigers have done.
Tunku Ismail said JDT has proven the success achieved by the club along with the team's modernisation and innovation.
"From taking care of the grass, football philosophy, infrastructure, to 'celebration'. No one can do what we or JDT do in this country or Asia as a club.
"Success both accompanies modernisation and innovation. Celebration is the identity that represents the concept of JDT. Different from the rest," he said in a comment on the @officialjohor Instagram page.
Previously, JDT extended their dominance in the Malaysian League when they won a double quadruple after repeating the success of emerging as champions of the Contribution Cup, FA Cup, Super League and Malaysia Cup.
The Harimau Selatan squad finished the 2023 Super League with 76 points from 25 wins, one draw and maintained an unbeaten record in 26 matches played.
JDT also created its own history when it recorded 100 goals in a season and only conceded seven times in the 2023 Super League.
The success was celebrated in a massive celebration of a decade of dominance at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium on Saturday after the final Super League match against Penang.
The celebration as a symbol of the extraordinary achievement of the Southern Tigers among others, was graced with a fireworks show and 1,000 luminous drones that lit up the sky of Iskandar Puteri as well as the JDT Fan Fest 2023 which was held at the stadium from 8.30am.
Tunku Ismail who is also the Tunku Mahkota Johor (TMJ) said, the JDT team will continue to improve their quality from all aspects.
"To my family, thank you for your support, and to my enemies, don't be jealous or hate but you should all admire this greatness and appreciate JDT's contribution to local football.
"Because there will never be another club like JDT in every aspect. Because there is only one TMJ," he said.
