PUTRAJAYA - The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today urged the victims of a syndicate that sells fake federal awards to come forward to facilitate investigations.

MACC Investigation Division senior director Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Hashim said that so far, seven victims had been identified and five of them had their statements recorded.

"We believe there are still several victims who need to come forward to help complete the investigation," he said when contacted.

People who have information on the case can contact investigating officer Muhammad Aiman Jamil at 03-88700473 or 017-2820484.

Earlier this month, six people, including two women and the president of an NGO, aged between 30 and 50, were remanded for alleged involvement in a syndicate that sells fake federal awards, with the title ‘Tan Sri’ said to command around RM2 million. - BERNAMA
