KLANG - Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) president Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu admits that the party may be vulnerable to internal conflict and disarray if there is a struggle for personal interests or certain groups.

The Kota Raja Member of Parliament said the problem could occur if some leaders and members lose their moral compass, especially during the ongoing party elections.

"I want all delegates and grassroots members of the party to know and be aware to compete a healthy, open, transparent and democratic 'Fastabiqul Khairat'.

"I (also) want all party levels, whether at the national, state, Angkatan Wanita Amanah Negara (Awan), Youth, Wanita Muda Amanah (Warda), regions to be united immediately after this party's election is over," he said.

He said this while delivering the Presidential Address in conjunction with the 2023 Amanah National Convention at a hotel here, today.

He added the necessity for leaders at every level to remain united for the party's survival.

"The true strength of Amanah does not only lie in its political or organisational strategy approach. This party also does not rely on the strength of its party or the charisma and aura of a leader.

"On the contrary, the core of the leadership of this Amanah party is the compatibility of a cohesive collective leadership," he said.
