SHAH ALAM - The public is facing issues with the One-Time Password (OTP) during registration just hours after the launch of the Central Database (Padu) website today.

Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli said that the problem seemed to only affect Celcom users, while other telco users did not face any issues.

"This matter is being handled by the Padu team and MCMC.

"The link for the system is padu.gov.my," he said in a message on X.

Earlier, Padu was launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC).

Anwar said the government's facilities and benefits would be fully enjoyed by eligible groups through the system.

He clarified that the initiative could reduce government losses and subsidy expenses that exceeded RM80 billion.

Meanwhile on X, social media users expressed frustration with Celcom's network for not receiving OTP, causing them to fail to register within the system.
