WASHINGTON - A witness interviewed as part of a lawsuit involving alleged sex trafficking by financier Jeffrey Epstein said that they never saw former US president Donald Trump at the convicted sex criminal’s home or private island, according to a new court filing, reported Sputnik.

On Wednesday, a US federal court released numerous documents that include the names of witnesses and accusers tied to Epstein’s case.

A witness was asked during sworn deposition whether they had ever seen Trump at Epstein’s home, on his private island in the Caribbean Sea or at any other location the financier frequented, one filing said.

The witness replied that they had never seen Trump at any of the listed locations, to the best of their memory, the filing said.

A witness also denied ever having given massages to Trump, another filing said. Epstein died in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

The financier’s relationship with many celebrities and officials fuelled speculation about their potential involvement in his alleged criminal activities. - BERNAMA
