SHAH ALAM – Black magic can be done online through a picture shared by an individual to a bomoh (shaman) to send the spells.

Pusat Rawatan Al Idrus (PRAI) founder Shafiq Mujahid said it could be done within 72 hours after the shaman received the picture.

"With today’s rapid development, there were even people who advertised ‘minyak pengasih’ on WhatsApp and Facebook to get people to bow down to them.

"Some of the black magic only wants people to suffer not to the point of dying, some want others to close shops and while some want to make husband and wife separate.

"Among signs of someone suffering from black magic include frequently dreaming of a snake that is about to bite, which means it (the spell) is approaching but has not yet struck," he said during a sharing session titled ‘Wujudkah Sihir Online’ (Does online black magic exist) in conjunction with the 2024 Prima Buku Horror Festival at the Karangkraf Group Complex recently.

Shafiq added people who were affected by ‘sihir pemisah’ (divisive spell) were advised not to come to the treatment centre together with their partner.

"Don't come together in the same car, need to come separately with family members and if possible don't say we want to see the ustaz,” he said.
