KUALA LUMPUR - A 40-year-old woman tragically lost her life after falling from the 21st floor of an apartment in Sungai Besi today.

Cheras district police chief Assistant Commissioner Zam Halim Jamaluddin reported that the police received information regarding the incident at 9.30pm.

"A team of investigators from the Salak Selatan police station immediately responded to the scene and discovered a woman lying on the sidewalk of Block C Razak City Residence.

"The victim was confirmed to have passed away at the scene by a medical officer.

"Statements are currently being recorded from the victim's next-of-kin and witnesses at the scene to assist in the investigation," he told Sinar Daily.

The body has been sent to Hospital Canselor Tuanku Mukhriz UKM (HUKM) for the post-mortem process.

When queried about whether this is classified as suicide, Zam said that the incident is still under investigation.

"We are still in the process of investigation," he remarked.

This tragic incident marks the first of its kind in the new high-rise apartment.

Checks by Sinar Daily revealed that some residents claimed to have heard alleged disputes before the incident occurred.

One resident, who wished to remain anonymous, reported hearing a loud impact sound, only to discover a body lying on the back of a white Proton Persona car.
