LAHAD DATU - The police are aware of several viral photos showing three children climbing on the back of a moving lorry on the road.

Lahad Datu District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Rohan Shah Ahmad said necessary actions would be taken to track down the children.

"We will investigate and action will be taken," he told Sinar when asked to comment on the matter on Sunday.

In a post on Info Lahad Datu's Facebook page, a photo of three children clinging to a moving lorry was posted along with a photo description of their actions.

"One hand holding the truck and the other hand is (sniffing) glue," the post which was published two days ago read.

The post received attention from social media users who were not only worried about the child's safety but also endangering other road users including the lorry driver.

The actions of the children are also linked to the intake of delusional substances such as glue so that they do not realise that the actions they are doing can bring harm to themselves.
