I am not a ceremony's decoration - Agong
His Majesty said he would start the real way of ruling.

SHAH ALAM - Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim emphasised that His Majesty will always carry the trust of the Malay Rulers to protect the interests of the people and the country.
His Majesty said that he would start the real way of ruling after this.
"I am not a statue to be worshiped or used as an ornament in a ceremony or to be forced to follow all the words and wishes of the ministers.
"In less than two weeks, it will be two months since I held the reins as the Head of State. When this 'honeymoon' period is over, I will start the real way of governing," His Majesty said.
Sultan Ibrahim said this in conjunction with the Federal Territories awards, honours and medals ceremony for the year 2024 at Istana Negara today.
Also present at the ceremony was Raja Permaisuri Agong Raja Zarith Sofiah.
In the meantime, Sultan Ibrahim said the bestowing of awards, honours and medals was to give recognition to individuals who have served, devoted their service or contributed to the Federal Territory.
"I myself have examined every candidate prepared by the Selection Committee and this year, I have decided that only 36 recipients really deserve to be awarded," said His Majesty.
