Saudi Arabia allocates US$5 million to provide food to Palestinians in Gaza

The funds will provide life-saving food assistance to around 377,000 people in the enclave.

MOSCOW - Saudi Arabia has sent US$5 million to the World Food Programme (WFP) to support its operations in the Gaza Strip and provide food to displaced Palestinians, affected by the conflict, the organisation said.

"The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) welcomed today a generous contribution of US$5 million from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) to support its operations in Palestine," the WFP said in a statement on Monday, reported Sputnik.

The funds will provide life-saving food assistance to around 377,000 people in the enclave, the statement added. - BERNAMA
