KUALA LUMPUR - Leaking 'air bellow suspension' in the tyre area was the cause of a Rapid KL bus carrying three passengers moving in a tilted condition, as seen circulating on social media.

Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd (Rapid Bus) in a statement said that the incident was reported to have occurred last Saturday around 6.45 pm involving bus route 202 travelling from Wira Damai hub to Lebuh Ampang via Gombak.

The bus driver noticed the condition of the bus and stopped at the nearest stop, KL913 Diamond Square, to drop off the passengers and sought technical assistance from the Rapid Bus Operations Control Centre.

"The Rapid Bus Operations Control Centre found that the bus was no longer suitable for operation due to a leaking 'air bellow suspension' in the tyre area during operation.

"The bus service was immediately terminated and the route was continued by the following bus," the statement read.

A viral video on Tuesday showed a Rapid KL bus moving in a tilted condition on the right side while passing through Jalan Gombak.

The video was shared by a user who passed through the same road before being shared on social media.

In the same statement, Rapid Bus apologised for the discomfort experienced by the public following the incident.
