HULU SELANGOR - Perikatan Nasional (PN) election director Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor has claimed that the government is not fully focusing on resolving the country's issues.

According to him, the unity government is seen as preferring to talk about the shortcomings of the Opposition.

"Have you ever come across this kind of people where they spend every day looking for faults in the Opposition, except for the (unity) government itself?

"People who have plenty of time to attack the Opposition prove that they are not doing anything.

"When the PN Chairman, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, led the government, we didn't have time to find or, more like, create the faults of others; we only had time to think about moving this country forward," he said during a Ceramah at the PN candidate announcement ceremony for the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election yesterday.

He added that the people are now able to assess the leadership of the government at this time after various issues have arisen without solutions.

He said that the challenges now are not the same as before, and many changes have occurred from various aspects.

"From the current scenario and situation, we know how to make our own evaluation.

"If the same government is allowed to lead, the country will be full of empty promises and unable to move forward.

"The changes in the world, weather, politics, and geopolitics at this time require leadership that understands reality to help the country out of this situation.

"Only then will we become a strong and stable country.

"The people live in peace with multi-ethnic citizens and develop the economy without marginalising any ethnic group," he added.

During the event, Hulu Selangor Bersatu action division head Khairul Azhari Saut was announced as the PN candidate for the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election.

The announcement was made by PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at the PN Main Operations Room in Batang Kali yesterday.

Muhyiddin said that the selection of Khairul Azhari, 54, as the candidate was decided unanimously by the PN Supreme Council.
