SHAH ALAM - Selangor FC player Faisal Halim, who was a victim of an acid attack, continues to receive widespread solidarity from the sports community across the country.

The latest support came from former national badminton champion Datuk Lee Chong Wei.

Lee said he believed that the 26-year-old Harimau Malaya star would emerge even stronger.

"Stay strong, Faisal Halim. Everything happens for a reason.

"You will come back stronger. Be patient. Focus on the recovery process and we are all waiting for your return," he wrote on his Facebook page.

Faisal, formerly a key player for Terengganu FC, made his first public appearance at a special press conference held at the Selangor FC Training Centre in Shah Alam yesterday.
