SHAH ALAM - Karangkraf Group adviser Datuk Hussamuddin Yaacub is celebrated as a leader who continues to inspire with his dedication to religion, community and the country.

Driven by profound faith and unwavering dedication, his efforts have built a legacy that extended beyond organisational boundaries, impacting lives both locally and globally.

In a celebration marking his 70th birthday, Hussamuddin's contributions to faith-based initiatives were honoured by colleagues and community members.

Warisan Ummah Ikhlas Foundation (WUIF) chief executive officer Marhaini Yusoff described Hussamuddin as a leader who truly embodied the principles he championed.

"Truly, as stated in Surah Al-Saff, one should sacrifice with wealth and soul. Hussamuddin has indeed dedicated all resources within Karangkraf, using his wealth and spirit not just to promote reading, understanding and practicing the Quran at Karangkraf but also to advance the Quranic movement in Malaysia and globally.

"This is the outcome we witness today. Imagine if every company nurtured more leaders like him, driven by a profound love for religion, the community and Malaysia.

"With what we have at Karangkraf, we can make an impact. Imagine the potential if other companies or organisations unite to promote the Quranic movement," she said.

Marhaini highlighted his genuine dedication and passion for dakwah (preaching), praising his transparent character, approachability and proactive approach to finding solutions.

She also highlighted the remarkable success of the #QuranHour programme, which, under Hussamuddin's leadership, reached an astounding 7.44 billion global impressions through the World #QuranHour campaign, making an impact far beyond Malaysia.

"His most significant lesson to us is that he practises what he preaches. His character is transparent and sincere. He is deeply passionate about the mission of dakwah, approachable, quick to act and provides effective solutions.

"This is evident in how he manages Karangkraf and in his later years, how he has turned towards the Quran. We can see how Hussamuddin’s journey is a legacy, a priceless treasure entrusted to us.

"Today, we share all this in conjunction with Hussamuddin’s birthday. We pray for more champions of religion to emerge among leaders in various organisations, following the example set by him," she said.

The celebration of his 70th birthday during the "70 Tahun Meniti Usia: Majlis Kesyukuran Legasi Haji Yaacub" event held at the Karangkraf complex, highlighted the lasting impact of Hussamuddin’s leadership and his mission to foster unity through faith.
