Che Ta’s household items worth nearly RM100,000 seized

DAMANSARA – Various household items belonging to actress Rozita Che Wan, valued at nearly RM100,000, were seized by the court on Tuesday.

According to a legal representative who wanted to remain anonymous, a writ was served to Rozita’s mother since the 51-year-old actress, also known as Che Ta, was not at home.

"Today, we served the writ, assessed the value of the items and carried out the seizure. This is our second visit to Rozita’s home.

"We previously visited last month but did not receive cooperation. This time, we obtained a court order to enter.

"The estimated value of the seized items does not reach RM100,000, most of them being personal belongings," said the representative who came on behalf of Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara).

The representative added that they were now awaiting further court instructions to proceed with an auction, which was expected to take place in two weeks.

"Any negotiation processes moving forward will have to go through the court.

"For now, we will wait for further instructions regarding the auction. While a date has been set, we are waiting for official documentation from the court," the representative explained, confirming that the actress owed nearly RM1 million.

Meanwhile, Che Ta’s eldest son, Ammar Effendy, 28, who was present at his mother’s residence, declined to comment on the seizure.

Earlier, Mara, along with lawyers and court representatives, raided Rozita’s home in Kota Damansara after the "4 Madu" actress failed to settle a loan amounting to nearly RM1 million.
