KUANTAN - Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar has declined to comment on his sudden resignation as Perikatan Nasional (PN) treasurer-general on Wednesday.

He said a statement regarding the matter would be issued at an appropriate time.

"I know the topic you all want to ask about. For now, I don’t want to make any statements. Let’s wait for the right time," he said briefly.

Samsuri spoke to reporters after the inauguration and handover ceremony of the water distribution pipe project from Kemaman, Terengganu to Gebeng, Pahang, today.

He quickly left the event to travel to Kuala Lumpur for a parliamentary session.

Yesterday, Pas deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man confirmed that Samsuri, who is also Pas vice- president submitted his resignation as PN treasurer-general, but declined to elaborate further on the matter.
